Specificity:
Goat Anti-Mouse Stromal Cell-Derived Factor-1 Alpha (SDF-1α) recognizes Mouse SDF-1α. This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody was purified using a proprietary chromatographic technique that includes covalently immobilizing the antigen proteins or peptides to agarose based beads. This purification method enhances specificity, reduces nonspecific binding of extraneous IgG and provides you with the most reliable reagent available for your early discovery research.

Background:
SDF-1alpha (stromal cell-derived factor-1 alpha) is an alpha-chemokine for haematopoietic stem cells (HSC).1 SDF-1 alpha plays a role in two important processes of granule cell maturation - proliferation and migration - assisting in the achievement of appropriate cell number and position in the cerebellar cortex.2 SDF-1 alpha is also involved in the trafficking of hematopoietic progenitors and stem cells.3 It is expressed by liver cells and in liver diseases.4

Purified Recombinant Mouse SDF-1α (>98%)
Formulation
This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody is aseptically filtered and lyophilized from PBS with no carrier proteins or preservatives added.
Reconstitution
Aseptically reconstitute this antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody using sterile deionized water to a concentration >0.2 mg/ml.
Storage and Stability
The lyophilized antibody should be stored desiccated at -20°C. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least six weeks at 4°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
