Description
Specificity:
Rat Anti-Mouse CD8a (Clone 2.43) recognizes an epitope on Mouse CD8a. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.

Antigen Distribution:
CD8a (Ly 2.2) is present on the surface of most thymocytes and a subpopulation of mature T-lymphocytes which include most T suppressor/cytotoxic-cells. CD8 participates in T-cell activation through its association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase lck.

Reporter Molecule:
Allophycocyanin (APC) has a molecular weight of 104 kDa and is purified from green algae. APC is an intensely bright phycobiliprotein with a broad absorption profile that peaks at ~650 nm, and a fluorescence emission maximum of ~660 nm.

This Allophycocyanin (APC) conjugate is formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide as a preservative.
