Description
Specificity:
Mouse Anti-Human CD3 (Clone UCHT-1) recognizes an epitope on Human CD3. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.

Antigen Distribution:
The human CD3 antigen is expressed on approximately 60-80% of human peripheral blood lymphocytes, 20-40% of splenic lymphocytes, the majority of T-CLL and approximately 70% of T-ALL cells.

Background:
Anti-CD3 may be used for enumerating immunocompetent T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood. Clone UCHT-1 is also useful in histology for localization of T-lymphocytes in tissue and may be used to enrich T-cells by cell sorting. This T-cell marker has also been used to determine T-versus B-cell lymphomas and leukemias.

Reporter Molecule:
DyLight® 755 conjugated antibodies absorb light maximally around 754 nm (± 4 nm) and fluoresce maximally around 776 nm. DyLight® 750 has spectral properties that are very similar to other near-IR dyes, including Alexa Fluor 750, and has high solubility for maximal incorporation of the dye into the biomolecule of interest. DyLight® is a trademark of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and its subsidiaries.
