Description

Specificity
Rabbit Anti-Human APRIL recognizes an epitope in the extracellular domain of Human APRIL. This polyclonal antibody was purified using affinity chromatography.
Background
A proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) is a TNF-like cytokine that stimulates tumor cell growth.1 It is of low abundance in normal tissues.2 APRIL acts as a proliferative factor in megakaryocytopoiesis, a developmental hematopoietic process responsible for progenitor cell differentiation to megakaryoblasts and megakaryocytes, leading to platelet formation.3 APRIL may be implicated in the regulation of tumor cell growth.2
