Description

Specificity:

Donkey F(ab')₂ Anti-Rat IgG (H&L) recognizes Rat IgG heavy and light chains. This secondary antibody was purified using antigen affinity chromatography and adsorbed against serum proteins and immunoglobulins to minimize species cross-reactivity.

Preparation:

This F(ab')₂ secondary antibody was generated by optimal pepsin degestion of the antisera followed by antigen affinity chromatography to elimiate the presence of Fc fragment and whole molecules.

Formulation

This secondary antibody is lyophilized from 0.01M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.6 containing 0.25M NaCl, 15 mg/ml IgG free BSA and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative.

Reconstitution

The lyophilized secondary antibody Biotin conjugate should be reconstituted in 0.3 ml of deionized water. Gently vortex until the solution is clear. Centrifuge the conjugate if not completely clear and free of particulates. After reconstitution, add an equal volume of ACS grade glycerol bringing the final concentration to 50% v/v.

Storage and Stability

This lyophilized secondary antibody conjugate should be stored desiccated at 2-8°C. The reconstituted Biotin conjugate containing glycerol should be stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer.
