Description
Specificity:
Anti-Mouse CD71 (clone R17217) recognizes the mouse transferrin receptor protein on the surface of most dividing cells.1,2 The function of the transferrin receptor is believed to be mainly nutritional. Alternatively, it has been suggested that a growth signal might be provided by the interaction of transferrin and transferrin receptor.
Antigen Distribution:
The CD71 antigen is present on most dividing cells, including normally cycling In vivo hematopoietic progenitor cells, mitogenically stimulated cells In vitro, some primary tumor cells and most proliferating cells In vitro.
Reporter Molecule:
Allophycocyanin (APC) has a molecular weight of 104 kDa and is purified from green algae. APC is an intensely bright phycobiliprotein with a broad absorption profile that peaks at ~650 nm, and a fluorescence emission maximum of ~660 nm.
Known Species Cross Reactivity: Ms+
Host Species
Rat
