Description
Specificity:
Rat Anti-Mouse CD90 (Clone T24/31) recognizes a non-polymorphic (Mr 25-30 kD) determinant on the Thy1.1 and Thy1.2 alloantigens.
Antigen Distribution:
The CD90 Thy-1 antigen is present on thymocytes, peripheral T-cells and some intraepithelial T-lymphocytes of all mouse strains tested.

Formulation
This antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2, 150 mM NaCl with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added.
Storage and Stability
This antibody is stable for at least one week when stored sterile at 2-8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

Flow Cytometry: It is recommended to use the indirect method for signal enhancement when enumerating cells expressing CD90. A suggested method would be to stain cells expressing CD90 with 1.0 µg per 1 x 10
6 cells in a total staining volume of 100 µl followed by Goat F(ab')

Functional Assay: Anti Thy-1 is mitogenic for resting T-cells and induces IL-2 secretion from normal T-cells and T-cell hybridomas.1
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.
