Recombinant Mouse IP-10 (CXCL10)

Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 10 (CXCL10) or IP-10 is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL10 is secreted by several cell types in response to IFN-γ. These cell types include monocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts.¹ CXCL10 has been attributed to several roles, such as chemoattraction for monocytes/macrophages, T cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells, promotion of T cell adhesion to endothelial cells, antitumor activity, and inhibition of bone marrow colony formation and angiogenesis.^2,3 CXCL10 plays a role in the regulation of tubular cell proliferation following renal ischemia-reperfusion injury.⁴

Measured by its ability to chemoattract BaF3 mouse pro‑B cells transfected with human CXCR3. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 0.05-0.3 µg/mL.

This recombinant protein was 0.2 μm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (IX PBS) pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives present.

The lyophilized protein should be stored desiccated at -20°C. The reconstituted protein can be stored for at least one week at 4°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted protein, aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
