Specificity
Mouse Anti-Human CD56 (Clone MEM 188) recognizes Human CD56. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. CD56 is an isoform of the NCAM molecule that is expressed by all lymphocytes that mediate non-MHC restricted cytotoxicity. MEM 188 is specific for the extracellular domain of NCAM that consists of five C2 set lgSF domains and 2 fibronectin III domains.
