Purified Recombinant Mouse CCL9 (Accession # Q3U9T8)
Formulation
This biotinylated antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco’s phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 containing 50 µg of bovine serum albumin per µg of antibody with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives present.
State of Matter
Lyophilized
Storage and Handling
The lyophilized, biotinylated antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months from date of receipt. The reconstituted biotin conjugate can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted conjugate, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.

Description

Specificity
Goat Anti-Mouse CCL9 recognizes Mouse CCL9. This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody was purified using a proprietary chromatographic technique that includes covalently immobilizing the antigen proteins or peptides to agarose based beads. This purification method enhances specificity, reduces nonspecific binding of extraneous IgG and provides you with the most reliable reagent available for your early discovery research.
Background
MIP-1 gamma is a CC chemokine found in mouse blood and a wide variety of mouse tissues, with no known human homolog. MIP-1 gamma signals through the CCR1 receptor. MIP-1 gamma chemoattracts neutrophils and also inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors. MIP-1 gamma contains six cysteines including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines. Recombinant mouse MIP-1 gamma is an 11.6 kDa protein containing 101 amino acid residues. NC6 chemokines are usually only marginally active at full length, but are converted to highly active forms upon N-terminal truncation. Mature CCL9, in the presence of inflammatory fluids, is naturally truncated by 28, 29 or 30 aa at the N-terminus, generating a highly active, 8 kDa, 71 - 73 aa CCR1 ligand. In contrast, other CCR1 ligands, CCL3/MIP-1α and CCL5/RANTES, lose their potency when proteolytically processed. CCL9/10 is constitutively secreted, and circulates as a full-length molecule. Any onset of inflammation with subsequent enzyme release may act on local NC6 chemokines, generating early, potent leukocyte chemoattractants.
