Quality Tested by Leinco Flow Cytometry: This conjugate has been pre-diluted to use approximately 10 µl per test when staining cells for flow cytometry. DescriptionSpecificity Mouse Anti-Human CCR2 (Clone 48607) recognizes an epitope on Human CCR2. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background CCR2, short for chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2, is a chemokine receptor. CCR2 has also recently been designated CD192 (cluster of differentiation 192). This gene encodes two isoforms of a receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, a chemokine which specifically mediates monocyte chemotaxis. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is involved in monocyte infiltration in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as in the inflammatory response against tumors. The receptors encoded by this gene mediate agonist-dependent calcium mobilization and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. This gene is located in the chemokine receptor gene cluster region.
