Western blotting (WB), also called protein immunoblotting, is a technique used to detect a specific protein in a sample based on the binding of a specific antibody. In a WB, proteins are first separated by size using gel electrophoresis. Following transfer to a membrane, a primary antibody identifies the target protein. A secondary antibody conjugated to a dye or enzyme is used for detection if the primary antibody is unlabeled. Leinco Technologies offers a diverse selection of polyclonal and monoclonal western blotting antibodies in a variety of reactivity species, including human, mouse, and rat, for WB analyses. Our western blotting antibodies are highly specific to ensure accurate recognition of a target protein.
