Herpes simplex Virus 2 Antigen (BA1052VS)

Herpes Simplex Virus 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2), also known as Human Herpesvirus 1 and 2 (HHV-1 and HHV-2), are two members of the Herpesvirus family that infect humans. Typical diseases related to these two viruses are herpes simplex (HSV-1) or genital herpes (HSV-2) and Herpes Viruses are part of the ToRCH screening panel, especially during pregnancy.

100 mM glycine buffer, pH 9.5.

For the native antigens, Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (strain G) is cultivated in Vero cells and virus purification is performed by a two-step ultra-centrifugation. The antigens consists of virus particles and virus components and are suitable for the detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies.

Store at -65°C or lower. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Sonicate before use. 10 years from date of manufacture (under recommended storage conditions).
