Background

Leptospira is a genus of spirochetes bacteria, including a small number of pathogenic and saprophytic species. Leptospira biflexa is a non-pathogenic organism, which can be used as a prototype antigen for the development and manufacturing of diagnostics reagents like ELISA.

Product Preparation
Native antigen Leptospira biflexa, strain Patoc 1 (serovar Patoc) is cultivated in broth culture and after harvest extracted by ethanol. The antigen is suitable for the detection of IgM and IgG antibodies against Leptospira ssp.
Storage and Stability
Store at -65°C or lower. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Sonicate before use. 10 years from date of manufacture (under recommended storage conditions).
