Storage and Handling
It is recommended to aliquot the undiluted antibody into smaller working volumes (e.g., 10–30 µL per vial, depending on usage) upon receipt. For long-term storage, keep aliquots at –20°C or –80°C. Maintain a separate working aliquot at 4°C for short-term use. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve antibody integrity. When properly stored, the antibody remains stable for a minimum of one year.

Applications and Recommended Usage?
Quality Tested by Leinco
Immunoblotting: use at 1:500-1:1,000 dilution. A band of approximately 32 kD is detected.
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change.

Description

Specificity
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody specific to KLK5
Background
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases involved in diverse physiological processes and have been increasingly implicated in the progression and development of various cancers. Among them, Kallikrein-related peptidase 5 (KLK5), also known as KLK-L2, is a novel member of the kallikrein gene family. KLK5 is expressed in several tissues, including the breast, brain, and testis, and its expression is known to be upregulated by steroid hormones such as estrogens and progestins. Due to its regulatory role in epithelial tissue remodeling and potential involvement in tumor biology, KLK5 is a target of interest in cancer research and biomarker discovery.
