Antibody DetailsProduct DetailsReactive Species Human Host Species Mouse Immunogen Human Ig cocktail Product Concentration ≥1.0 mg/ml Purity ≥90% monomer by analytical SEC Formulation This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added. State of Matter Liquid Product Preparation Purified antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only in vitro protein free cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates. Storage and Handling This antibody may be stored sterile as received at 2-8°C for up to one month. For longer term storage, aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at ≤ -70°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. Regulatory Status Research Use Only Country of Origin USA Shipping 2 – 8° C Wet Ice Additional Applications Reported In Literature ? ELISA, FA, IF, IHC Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity HP6023 activity is directed against human IgG4 Fc. Background IgG functions in the humoral immune response1. There are four subclasses of IgG, and they are
numbered according to decreasing abundance as IgG1 through IgG4. While IgG4 is the least
abundant of these subclasses, it is the predominant IgG subclass involved in chronic or repeated
antigen exposure, leading to an anti-inflammatory response. IgG4 is not usually part of the
antibody response to bacterial or viral infection. Rather, it dominates the response to allergens
and parasitic worm infections. IgG4 has unique properties relative to other IgG antibodies1. IgG4 affinity for Fc receptors and complement is relatively lower and IgG4 is largely unable to activate antibody-dependent- immune effector responses. IgG4 also performs Fab-arm exchange and is more highly glycosylated. Additionally, the IgG4 response is blocking in nature and able to induce tolerance and limit inflammation in the host, and particularly protects against allergic inflammation. IgG4 is produced by B cells that undergo class-switch recombination from IgM to IgG4 via T helper 2 cell responses1. HP6023 binds to an epitope on the carboxyl terminus of C H 2 or C H 3 of human IgG43. Antigen Distribution IgG4 is produced by B cells and is present in serum.
