Recombinant Human TACI

Transmembrane activator & calcium modulator and cyclophilin ligand (CAML) interactor (TACI) is lymphocyte specific member^1,2 of the tumor necrosis factor-receptor superfamily³ and is expressed in B-lymphocytes and may act to regulate humoral immunity.⁴ TACI also serves as a receptor for B-cell activating factor of the TNF family (BAFF) and as a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL).⁵

The biological activity of Human Transmembrane Activator and CAML Interactor is determined by its ability to block human BAFF induced T2B cell survival assay using a concentration range of 1.0-3.0 ug/ml.

The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human TACI is Mr 17.9 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 17.8 kDa.

This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
