BackgroundThe Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a syncytial virus that can cause lower respiratory tract infections during childhood. For the production of the native antigen, the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (strain Long) is cultivated in Vero cells and the virus is extracted by alkaline treatment and sonication. Protein DetailsFormat Liquid State of Matter Liquid Formulation 100 mM glycine buffer, pH 9.5. Product Preparation RSV infected cells are harvested and virus is extracted by alkaline treatment and sonication. The suspension is purified by centrifugation. The resulting antigen preparation consists of virus and viral components and residual host cell material. The antigen is presented in 100 mM glycine buffer, pH 9.5.
