Yersinia enterocolitica is a Gram-negative bacterium, belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. Y. enterocolitica causes the disease yersiniosis, which is an animal-borne disease occurring in humans.

For the production of the native antigens, Yersinia enterocolitica (serovars O:8) is cultivated in broth culture and stimulated to secrete YOPs (Yersinia outer proteins). The antigens are suitable for the detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies against Yersinia.

Store at -65°C or lower. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 10 years from date of manufacture (under recommended storage conditions).
