ELISA, IHC Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionSpecificity This antibody recognizes the beta subunit of cholera toxin and does not cross-react with the alpha subunit, however it cross-reacts with E. coli heat labile enterotoxin. Function The B subunit pentameric ring directs the A subunit to its target by binding to the GM1 gangliosides present on the surface of the intestinal epithelial cells. It can bind five GM1 gangliosides. It has no toxic activity by itself.
