This polyclonal antibody is formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4 containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.

This polyclonal antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor family receptor alpha-2, also known as GFRA2, is the cognate co-receptor for the neurotrophic factor neurturin that is selectively expressed by isolectin B(4) (IB 4)-binding nociceptive sensory neurons.¹ GFRA2 is required for the development of the myenteric nerve plexus and is an excellent candidate gene for Hirschsprung disease (HSCR).² GFRalpha2 signaling is also needed for development of the parasympathetic islet innervation that is critical for vagally induced hormone secretion.³
