Formulation
This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added. Due to inherent biochemical properties of antibodies, certain products may be prone to precipitation over time. Precipitation may be removed by aseptic centrifugation and/or filtration.
Product Preparation
Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only in vitro protein free cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.

Background
The Anti-Mouse FGL-1 monoclonal antibody (Clone 177R4) will block Fibrinogen-like protein 1, a key liver-secreted molecule crucial for metabolic and mitogenic signaling that is frequently upregulated in malignant tumors like melanoma and lung cancer. Because elevated FGL-1 expression correlates with poor patient prognosis and anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy resistance, it has emerged as a critical checkpoint target in oncology research. Mechanistically, FGL-1 acts as the primary inhibitory ligand for Lymphocyte Activation Gene 3 (LAG-3), a prominent immune receptor that suppresses T cell activation, proliferation, and anti-tumor effector functions. In preclinical murine models, utilizing Clone 177R4 effectively disrupts the FGL-1/LAG-3 signaling pathway, successfully restoring T-lymphocyte activity and restricting tumor progression in vivo.
