Applications and Recommended Usage?
Quality Tested by Leinco
Flow Cytometry The suggested use of this antibody is ≤1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change.

Armenian Hamster Anti-Mouse IL-1 R1 (Clone JAMA-147) recognizes Mouse IL-1 R1. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Antigen Distribution
T cells, thymocytes, dendritic cells, fibroblasts, vascular endothelial cells, epithelial cells, neural cells
IL-1 binds two receptors, IL-1RI and IL-1RII. The ligands IL-1α and IL-1ß exert all of their various biological actions by binding IL-1RI. IL-1RII has a shortened cytoplasmic domain that is unable to transduce signals and therefore acts as a decoy receptor and competitively antagonizes the binding of IL-1α and IL-1ß, thereby reducing their biological effects. Binding of the ligands to IL-1RI is enhanced by an accessory protein, IL-1R-AcP. IL-1RI is expressed on T cells, thymocytes, dendritic cells, fibroblasts, vascular endothelial cells, epithelial cells and neural cells. It is an 80 kD transmembrane glycoprotein.
