DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Rat Anti-Mouse Ly-6C (Clone HK1.4) recognizes an epitope on Mouse Ly-6C. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Ly-6C is a 14–17 kDa glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface protein belonging to the Ly-6 superfamily. Expressed on subsets of monocytes, macrophages, endothelial cells, granulocytes, thymocytes, NK cells, and T lymphocytes, it is regulated by interferon-gamma and serves as a key marker for inflammatory monocyte lineage and memory CD8+ T cells. Antigen Distribution The antigen is found on some monocyte/macrophage populations, endothelial cells, thymocytes, NK-cells, T-cell subsets and 40% of bone marrow cells from all mouse strains tested.
