Antibody DetailsProduct DetailsReactive Species Mouse Host Species Rat Immunogen Purified Recombinant Mouse IL-18 Rα (>98%) Formulation This monoclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 - 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium or preservatives present. Storage and Handling The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months. Country of Origin USA Shipping Next Day Ambient RRIDAB_2830746 Applications and Recommended Usage? Quality Tested by Leinco Flow Cytometry: It is recommended to use the indirect method for signal enhancement when enumerating cells expressing IL-18 Rα. A suggested method would be to stain cells expressing IL-18 Rα with 0.25 µl per 1-2.5 x 106 cells in a total staining volume of ≤200 µl followed by PN:R485. Western Blotting: To detect Mouse IL-18 Rα this monoclonal antibody can be used at a concentration of 1-2 µg/ml. This monoclonal antibody should be used in conjunction with compatible second-step reagents such as PN:R377 and a chromogenic substrate such as PN:T343. The detection limit for Mouse IL-18 Rα is 25 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. The sensitivity of detection may increase up to 50 fold when a chemiluminescent substrate is used. Additional Applications Reported In Literature ? CyTOF-ready: Ready to be labeled using established conjugation methods. No BSA or other carrier proteins that could interfere with conjugation. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Rat Anti-Mouse Lnterleukin 18 Receptor Alpha (IL-18 Rα) (Clone 112614) recognizes an epitope on Mouse IL-18 Rα. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. This antibody does not cross-react with RmIL-1 RI, RmIL-1 RII, RhIL-1 R3, RhIL-1 R4, RrIL-1 R6, RmIL-1 R7, RhIL-1 R8, RhIL-1 R9 or RmSIGIRR. Background The interleukin-18 receptor 1 (IL-18R1) is a cytokine receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily. IL18R1 is also known as IL-18Rα, CDw218a (cluster of differentiation w218a), IL-1Rrp, and IL-1R family member. IL-18R1 specifically binds to interleukin 18 (IL18), and is essential for IL18 mediated signal transduction. IL-18Rα is expressed on Th1 cells, NK cell subset, neutrophils and IL-12-stimulated tonsillar B cells. By itself, IL-18Rα binds IL-18 with low affinity and when complexed with IL-18Rβ chain binds IL-18 with high affinity. The proinflammatory cytokine IL-18 and its receptor complex play an important role in the innate and autoimmune responses. PubMed References & Citations1. Huleihel, M. et al.
