Quality Tested by Leinco Immunoblotting: use at 1-2ug/mL. A band of ~125-130kDa is detected.
Immunofluorescence: use at 10ug/mL. These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their application. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity This antibody recognizes mouse Neuroligin-4. It does not cross-react with other
Neuroligins. Background Neuroligin-4 is a neuronal cell surface protein and a member of the type-B carboxylesterase- lipase protein family. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta- neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. Neuroligin-4 interacts with discs large homolog 4 (DLG4). Mutations in this gene have been associated with autism and Asperger syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Function Cell surface protein involved in cell-cell-interactions. Plays a role in the formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions via its interactions (via the extracellular domains) with neurexin family members. Plays a role in synaptic signal transmission. {PubMed:18434543, PubMed:21282647}.
