Antibody DetailsProduct DetailsReactive Species Mouse Host Species Rat Immunogen Purified Recombinant Mouse B7-2 (>98%) Endotoxin Level <0.1 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method Formulation This monoclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 - 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium or preservatives present. Storage and Handling The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Quality Tested by Leinco Indirect ELISA: This antibody can be used in an indirect detection ELISA at 0.5 - 1.0 µg/ml with a suitable second step reagent such as PN:R380. The detection limit for rmB7-2 is approximately 0.1 ng/lane and 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. Antigen Distribution CD86 is expressed on activated B and T cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and astrocytes. Background CD86 is an 80kD Ig superfamily member that is involved in immunoglobulin class-switching and activation of NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. CD80 is closely related to, and works in tandem with CD86 to prime T- cells. CD86 is expressed earlier in the immune response than CD80. The ligation of CD28 on T cells with CD80 and CD86 on APCs co-stimulates T cells resulting in enhanced cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production.
